The vessel is the former RMS 'St Helena', built and maintained under government contract to serve and supply the island of St Helena. Following the construction of the island's airport, the current owners purchased the vessel and conducted a major refit of the interior and reengineering of the machinery, all to the highest standards, to create a mobile floating hotel, hospitality and cargo centrepiece for Extreme E's worldwide electric motor racing series.
'St Helena', and the unique opportunities which the vessel presents, is now offered for sale.
The vessel is currently in the UK and will shortly be deployed in the Arabian Gulf, whereafter delivery can be arranged.
