A. Type: This drilling unit is a cantilevered equipped four (4) column stabilized
submersible suitable for drilling in water depths from 13' to 70', capable
of drilling to 25,000'. Approved by the American Bureau of shipping as
an A-1 Column Stabilized Drilling Unit built under the United States
Coast Guard rules for Mobile Offshore Drilling Units.

C. Design: The rig is a four caisson and mat design with an independent, three
level hull-type superstructure with a fixed cantilever extending over the
aft end. The superstructure is supported from the mat by a jacket-type
truss. The unit is designed to operate in soft bottom areas. The four
independent caissons provide buoyancy during ballasting and
deballasting operations.
