What are FSIV's ?
A FSIV DP1 (Fast Supply & Intervention Vessel Dynamic Positioning Class 1)
is a multipurpose offshore support vessel designed for the rapid
transportation of supplies, personnel and equipment, as well as for
the execution of light intervention tasks and general operational
support to offshore installations.
The vessel is equipped with a Dynamic Positioning Class 1 (DP1) system,
allowing it to maintain its position automatically using thrusters
under normal operating conditions.
FSIVs are typically characterized by their higher speed and operational
flexibility compared to conventional PSVs, making them suitable for
fast-response logistics, field support, and non-critical offshore operations.
