We are pleased to be part of many Reactivations from Lay-up, DP Upgrades and Commissioning projects globally. We approach these projects from a global perspective using a three (3) stage approach. We ideally like to get in on what we call Stage one (1) and work with our clients through stage three (3), the actual testing and commissioning which includes the FMEA.
We do not stop there; we like to follow the progress annually using our in house developed Annual DP Trials based on industry standard taking into consideration the requests of the charterer if desired.
STAGE 1 - FEASIBILITY ANALYSIS (PROOF OF CONCEPT)
During the stage 1 process, we use our Feasibility Analysis or Proof of concept (PoC) tool to measure the ability and likelihood to complete a project successfully including all relevant factors. We consider the factors that affect it such as regulatory, economic, technological, legal and scheduling factors. We ascertain the viability of the project idea and even the actual feasibility of conducting the Reactivations from Lay-up, DP Upgrade and/or Commissioning itself, whether going from DP-1 to DP-2 (or DP-3), change of operating systems, or even Class.
Feasibility studies allow companies to determine and organize a detailed project execution plan. A feasibility study helps identify equipment and system set-up problems and their solutions. This helps us to determine potential positive and negative outcomes of a project before our client invests a considerable amount of time and money into it.
STAGE 2 - TECHNICAL REPRESENTATION - UPGRADE, REACTIVATION AND COMMISSIONING CREW
Can be activated in the capacity of Client (Technical) Representative for Upgrade, Reactivation and Commissioning projects utilizing our dedicated technical department with locations in Lockport (Louisiana), Houston (Texas), Rio de Janeiro (Brazil) and shortly, in Tampico (Mexico). As some of our clients (International and Domestic) do not have the manpower locally to fulfil the technical personnel requirements for these scopes of work, we are able to provide these Technical specialists and the associated maritime services needed to effectively oversee and complete the project efficiently.
We have on staff dedicated an expert team of Masters, Engineers, Electricians, Naval Architects, Project Managers, Purchasing Staff, Freight Forwarders, Information Technology, Safety, Quality and Environmental protection, Insurance, as well as Financial and Administrative personnel.
We provide a technical support staff for all DP & alarm/automation system installation and testing, Auxiliary systems commissioning, and associated DP FMEA trials which includes check, run and repair all the auxiliary and main systems. We not only oversee the project, we also actively restart and operate all vessel systems.
We schedule technicians and service companies in order to keep the vessel operationally effective all while keeping within budget. Service delivery is underpinned by a rigorous approach to safety, security and environmental protection.
Some of our DP Upgrade, Reactivation and Commissioning services include:
• Technical Supervision & Maintenance
• Attendance during Dry-dockings and major repairs
• Operational Activity Planning
• Purchasing - Inventory control
• Performance Monitoring
• Budgetary - Financial controls
• Vessel Inspection and Reports
• Any other Technical assistance that may be required
As expert in the field of DP and Mission Critical Systems, we also make certain all associated DP related documentation are current. We work with the crew to develop and maintain the operational requirements associated with Dynamic Positioning.
STAGE 3 - COMMISSIONING AND FMEA TESTING
The DP and Auxiliary Systems Commissioning and FMEA Testing scope includes the planning and execution of Sea Trails and testing.
We possess unrivalled expertise in Dynamic Positioning (DP), we have established a comprehensive, practical, and theoretical understanding of DP vessels, FMEA and their corresponding systems.
We offer complete document packages for all vessels, DP system upgrades, FMEA, and for your entire fleet that meet all resolution and guidance documents issued by class and state societies. Our comprehensive service for dynamic positioning includes:
• DP FMEA, Trials, DP 5-yearly Trials, Annual DP Trials
• Thruster Reliability, CAT Testing, DP System Audits
• Vessel Specific DP Operations Manuals
• Marine Warranty for DP Ops, DP Asset Integrity
• Key DP Personnel Competency Assessment Program
• DP & Marine Warranty Operational Activity Planning (CAMO, TAM and ASOG)
• DP Assurance Audits, Mobilization Trials
• DP Functionality Tests
We assist owners and partners to achieve Economic and Predictable project results on base of our expert Execution advice and planning, based on real Project Experience.
We have vast experiences with project specific operational activity planning/ benchmarking and risk analysis for O&G Subsea Construction/ Installation/ Subsea projects, Offshore Drilling Campaigns, Project Cargo Transportation, DP vessels (including Semi-submersible Units, Heavy Lift Vessels, OSV, DSV & Shuttle/ Oil & Chemical Tankers), Offshore field development and hook-up/ towing/ sail-away/ rig move and decommissioning equipment that service these projects.
While we are here to serve your queries with full project scope from planning through execution and completion. We develop long-standing relationships with our clients, who appreciate our professionalism, operational excellence, high level of safety, and above all our ability to respond quickly and efficiently to all urgent matters.
